Surely these circumstances will improve with additional shame

Twenty-five days as an Isekai’d hero

First day as an isekai’d hero I’m trying to explain gunpowder to a sceptical elf but I can’t remember what saltpetre is so I’m just here talking about sulphur and charcoal and someone called Salty Pete and she’s pretty sure I’m talking out my arse.

Second day as an isekai’d hero I’m still trying to get this busty elf to understand guns and I’m talking about how someone can be minimally trained and still be very dangerous at range and she just says yes I know what a crossbow is ma'am.

Third day as an isekai’d hero and my limited knowledge of fractional distillation is causing me to sound like a nutcase when I talk about the alchemical separation of naptha into more useful things.

the-lonely-knight:

Princess finds a bedraggled knight wandering just outside the castle walls with no heraldry and a wilted plume (a common sign of emotional neglect in knights) and begs the queen to let her keep him. The queen warns about the dangers of adopting wild knight errants but the princess promises to take good care of him and make sure to keep him away from their domesticated knights until he’s properly adjusted. Queen finally relents once she sees his rusted kit, broken sword, and the saddest brown eyes known to man. Princess claps her hands excitedly and drags him off to the apothecary to make sure he doesn’t have worms.

[Image ID: Tumblr tags reading: #yeah i strongly support adopting knights errant #i know it’s controversial #but they can be so destructive to the local ecosystem #we just don’t see as many dragons as we used to #like really think about the last time you saw a dragon in the wild #anyway i adopted a knight errant off the streets once #best knight ever #some mild behavioral issues #like he kept trying to joust with my neighbors next door #but that was just a lack of knowledge on my part #once i got him into tournaments he was golden /End ID]
